CENTRE FOR RESEARCH & TECHNOLOGY HELLAS – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES INSTITUTE (CERTH/ITI)
The National Center for Research and Technology Development (CERTH) was established in 2000 with its headquarters Thessaloniki and has a significant contribution to scientific and technological development in areas such as: Energy, Environment, Industry, Mechatronics, Information and Communication and Smart Cultures. CERTH will develop the proposed system by exploiting two research teams by the Institute of Information Technology and Communications (ITI):
The Multimedia Knowledge and Data Analysis Laboratory (MKLab) holds significant experience and scientific expertise on the proposed system and more in particular the visual recognition of objects, the multimodal composition of sensory data, semantic interoperability and imaging, visual analyzes and systems decision support. Typical projects in which the team was involved are FP7 Pericles and H2020 Kristina where innovative solutions of semantic representation have been developed data and sensor data synthesis techniques. The lab has the right one know – how for the required tasks as it has developed a number of innovative algorithms for data retrieval and processing.
The ConvCao team has extensive experience in intelligent control and cyber-physical optimization large-scale systems and their applications. In particular, the group is one of world leaders in complex large-scale cyber-physical systems such as example robot clusters, intelligent traffic management and transport systems. The team has participated in a large number of research programs related to robotic cluster groups such as H2020 Rawfie and the H2020 Roborder where it is involved in developing autonomous navigation systems. Through this involvement, the team has developed an innovative smart management architecture robots and other relevant algorithms will therefore contribute drastically to system development multi-agent management.
